Five more performances of AMERICA’S FIRST NUTCRACKER through December 28th. This season is the 80th Anniversary of Willam Christensen’s classic production that we all love.

Our community is so grateful to the Artists of Ballet West who give us so much joy during the holidays.

Ballet West Guild runs a “fruit loop” on days that the company has two performances to provide healthy snacks for the dancers and staff.

The 80th Anniversary Season of Willam Christensen’s THE NUTCRACKER opens at Capitol Theatre.

We also invite you to join in a collective gift to the Frederick Quinney Lawson Ballet West Academy in Memory of Robert Arbogast.

Robert was a beloved Principal Dancer with Ballet West who passed away much too soon in the Summer of 2019. Bob was also a long-time member of Ballet West Guild and served as our President 2000—2002. In honor of Robert’s enduring love for Ballet West, our Guild sponsors an annual scholarship in his memory for a male student of the Frederick Quinney Lawson Ballet West Academy. This wonderful opportunity to honor the memory of Robert Arbogast as well as his family, our Guild, Ballet West and promising young artists in our Ballet West Academy training programs. Ballet West Guild’s Arts Legend Awards were established through a grass-roots level desire to recognize individuals from our local Ballet and greater Utah Arts community who have played a particularly active, lengthy, and dedicated role as an artist, producer, administrator, patron or advocate for the Arts.

An “audience and community award” of sorts, the Guild’s Arts Legend Awards provide an opportunity to articulate and express a deep appreciation from our membership to the selected recipient for their life’s work.

The Guild’s Arts Legend Awards are presented annually to 2-3 individuals, thoughtfully nominated and selected by Ballet West Guild’s Leadership Council.
